Sigmian CTE is a high-output, ATEX-certified self-regulating industrial heating cable for heating outdoor areas, concrete, pipelines and vessels. It is primarily intended for applications where a standard-output self-regulating cable does not provide sufficient heating capacity. The Sigmian product page specifies an output of 80 W/m. The technical datasheet gives the 90-CTE model a nominal output of 90 W/m at 0 °C when installed in concrete. The maximum continuous operating temperature when energised is +80 °C, while the maximum continuous exposure temperature when de-energised is +100 °C. The heating cable operates at 230 V and is suitable for both non-hazardous and hazardous Ex areas.

Its maximum continuous operating temperature is +120 °C when energised, while the maximum exposure temperature when de-energised is +200 °C. BTC is suitable for both non-hazardous and hazardous Ex areas. Its parallel construction allows the cable to be cut to the required length on site. A suitable thermostat should always be used for accurate temperature control, lower energy consumption and longer cable life.
