The TKT/M is a heat-shrink connection and termination kit designed for connecting a self-regulating heating cable to a power supply cable and hermetically sealing the free end of the heating cable. It is suitable for SST / Sigmian HTM, HTA, HTP and CTE series heating cables.

Product description
The TKT/M power connection and end termination kit is designed for preparing a ready-to-use self-regulating heating cable assembly directly at the installation site. The kit allows the heating cable to be connected to a power supply cable and its free end to be safely sealed.
The kit contains heat-shrink tubing of different diameters and crimp connectors for connecting the heating cable conductors and protective braid. When installed correctly, the components protect the connection against moisture, dirt and electrical short circuits.
The TKT/M kit is suitable for SST / Sigmian HTM, HTA, HTP and CTE self-regulating heating cables. According to the manufacturer’s documentation, the kit may also be used in hazardous areas, provided that the entire electric heat-tracing system is designed and installed in compliance with the applicable Ex requirements.
A hot-air gun and suitable crimping tools are required to install the kit. The electrical connection must be completed by a suitably qualified professional in accordance with the installation instructions supplied with the kit. The metal braid of the heating cable must be connected to protective earth, and the electrical circuit must be protected by a residual current device.

Important information
The TKT/M is not a junction box or a ready-made power lead with a plug. It is an installation kit for making a permanent connection between the heating cable and a separate power supply cable, as well as an end termination for the heating cable.
The insulation resistance of the heating cable must be tested before and after installation. All components and cable ends must be dry during installation. The completed connection must not be exposed to mechanical loads.
