Sigmian HTP is an ATEX-certified self-regulating industrial heating cable for freeze protection and temperature maintenance of pipelines, tanks and process equipment. The heating cable is suitable for both non-hazardous and hazardous Ex areas.
The cable adjusts its power output according to the surrounding temperature, producing more heat in colder areas and less in warmer areas. Its parallel construction allows the cable to be cut to the required length on site. Always use the heating cable with a suitable thermostat.
Product code: 55041333
Applications
The HTP heating cable is suitable for:
- freeze protection of industrial pipelines;

Selecting and controlling the heating cable
The required output and maximum heating circuit length must be selected according to the dimensions of the pipeline or tank, required maintenance temperature, minimum ambient temperature, thermal insulation thickness and circuit breaker rating.
A self-regulating heating cable reduces its power output as the temperature rises but never switches off completely. We therefore always recommend using a suitable thermostat for accurate temperature control and lower energy consumption. This also helps extend the service life of the heating cable.
In Ex areas, connection kits, junction boxes, cable glands and control equipment must comply with the hazardous area classification of the installation site. The system must be designed and installed by a suitably qualified professional.
