Ceramicx FFEH and SFEH are ceramic infrared heating elements featuring a lightweight hollow body filled with high-density insulation. This construction reduces rear heat loss, provides faster heat-up and increases forward radiant efficiency. These flat heating elements are ideal for thermoforming, composite curing and industrial processes where the infrared emitter is positioned close to the target material. Available from 400 W to 1000 W, with a standard voltage of 230 V and an optional built-in type K thermocouple.

Energy-Efficient Ceramic Infrared Heating Element for Industry

Ceramicx FFEH and SFEH are flat, hollow ceramic infrared heaters designed for industrial process heating. A high-temperature FeCrAl resistance wire is embedded within a lightweight hollow ceramic body filled with high-density insulating material.

The insulation reduces heat loss from the rear of the element and helps direct more radiant heat towards the target material. Compared with a solid-cast ceramic element, the hollow construction provides faster heat-up, improved energy efficiency and increased forward radiant output.

FFEH and SFEH elements emit long-wave infrared radiation within the useful 2–10 µm wavelength range. They are particularly suitable for installations where the heating element is positioned close to the target surface and uniform heat distribution is required.

The FFEH Full Flat Element Hollow is an elongated, full-size flat hollow ceramic heating element. It is well suited to creating longer heating zones and installing several elements in rows.

The SFEH Square Flat Element Hollow is a square hollow ceramic infrared heating element. It is suitable for creating wider or square heating zones and heating matrices consisting of multiple elements.

Under suitable operating conditions, the average service life of the heating element can reach up to 20,000 hours. The actual service life depends on the operating temperature, switching frequency, installation and operating environment.
