The Schultze EHK G2 is a robust industrial screw-in immersion heater for heating liquid media directly inside tanks, vessels and process equipment. The heater is installed through a G2″ threaded connection and is especially suitable for hydraulic oil tanks and other applications where reliable, gentle and easily serviceable liquid heating is required.
Unlike a conventional tubular immersion heater, the EHK G2 contains a replaceable dry ceramic heating cartridge installed inside a 50 mm stainless steel protective tube. The ceramic element does not come into direct contact with the liquid being heated.

Replace the heating element without draining the tank
One of the main advantages of the EHK G2 is that the ceramic heating cartridge can be removed and replaced while the stainless steel protective tube remains installed in the tank. This means that the tank does not normally need to be emptied when replacing the heating cartridge.
The design helps to:
- reduce maintenance time and production interruptions;
- avoid the cost and inconvenience of draining the tank;
- protect the ceramic heating element from direct contact with the liquid;
- simplify future maintenance and spare-part replacement;
- extend the service life of the complete heating system.
The replaceable ceramic heating cartridge is also available separately as a spare part.
Gentle heating with a low surface load
The heater has a low surface load of only 1.5 W/cm². Heat is transferred from the ceramic cartridge through the stainless steel protective tube to the surrounding liquid.
The low watt density provides even and gentle heat transfer and helps reduce local overheating and the formation of carbon deposits when heating hydraulic oil and other suitable oils. This makes the heater particularly useful in applications where the properties and service life of the heated medium must be protected.

The Schultze EHK G2 screw-in immersion heater is particularly suitable for:
- hydraulic oil tanks and hydraulic power units;
- industrial tanks and process vessels;
- machinery and production equipment;
- oil storage, circulation and buffer tanks;
- industrial liquid-heating systems;
- applications where draining the tank for heater replacement would be difficult or expensive;
- technical water and other compatible liquids, subject to material and operating-condition verification.
The suitability of the heater must always be checked according to the liquid being heated, its chemical properties, the required operating temperature and the material of the selected protective tube.
Stainless steel versions for different operating conditions
The immersion heater is available with different stainless steel protective tube versions. The standard version is intended for normal industrial applications, while the corrosion-resistant 1.4404 / AISI 316L version is available for more demanding environments and compatible aggressive media.
The impact-resistant and oil-resistant PA6-GF30 terminal box has an IP66/IP67 protection rating, providing effective protection against dust and water ingress in demanding industrial environments.
Available powers and immersion depths
The EHK G2 immersion heater is available in powers from 500 to 2400 W, with immersion depths ranging from 250 to 1050 mm. This makes it possible to select a suitable model according to the dimensions of the tank and the required heating capacity.

External temperature control is required
The EHK G2 does not include an integrated thermostat or temperature sensor. The temperature of the liquid must therefore be controlled using a suitable external thermostat or industrial temperature controller.
The electrical connection and control system must be designed according to the selected heater power, supply voltage, heated medium and operating conditions. Installation and electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified professional.
How to select the correct tank heating element
When selecting an industrial immersion heater, the following information should be considered:
- type and chemical composition of the liquid;
- tank volume;
- starting and required final temperature;
- desired heating time;
- available supply voltage;
- tank connection and G2″ thread compatibility;
- available immersion depth;
- tank material and installation position;
- minimum operating liquid level;
- need for an external thermostat or temperature controller.
