This NTC 15 kΩ floor sensor, with its nominal resistance specified at +25 °C, is suitable for DEVIreg thermostats that use the same type of floor sensor. The sensor has a 3-metre cable and measures the floor temperature before transmitting the measurement to the thermostat.

If a DEVI thermostat displays a sensor error, the cause may be a faulty or disconnected floor sensor. The slim sensor probe is suitable for replacing an existing sensor and for installation in a narrow sensor conduit or low-profile floor construction.

Compatibility and applications

DEVI underfloor heating thermostats commonly use an NTC 15 kΩ floor sensor with its nominal resistance specified at +25 °C. This replacement sensor with a 3-metre cable is suitable for both older and newer DEVIreg thermostats.

The sensor is compatible with:

  • DEVIreg 130 and 132;
  • DEVIreg 530 and 532;
  • DEVIreg 550;
  • DEVIreg 610;
  • DEVIreg Touch;
  • DEVIreg Smart;
  • other thermostats whose manufacturer specifies the use of an NTC 15 kΩ sensor at +25 °C.

DEVIreg Touch and DEVIreg Smart support floor sensors with several different resistance values, but NTC 15 kΩ is their default sensor type. The thermostat must be configured for the resistance value of the installed sensor.

Installation

The floor sensor must be installed in a protective sensor conduit with a sealed end. The conduit protects the sensor from screed and moisture and allows it to be replaced later without opening the floor.

A thermostat error message does not always indicate a faulty sensor. The cause may also be a broken connection cable, a poor electrical connection or a fault in the thermostat itself.
