Evesta C WiFi Thermostat with Spot Price Optimisation

Evesta C is a smart WiFi thermostat with a colour display and free mobile app, designed primarily for controlling electric underfloor heating.

When used with a spot-price or dynamic electricity tariff, Evesta C automatically shifts part of the heating to lower-priced periods and reduces heating during expensive periods. You decide how much the temperature may be increased or reduced, so the thermostat helps lower heating costs without giving up control over comfort.

The thermostat supports both 15-minute and 60-minute electricity price intervals.

How does spot price optimisation work?

Evesta C follows current electricity spot prices and weather forecasts. In the app, you can choose:

• how many low-price periods should be used each day;
• how many expensive periods should be avoided;
• how much the temperature may be increased during cheaper periods;
• how much it may be reduced during expensive periods;
• absolute electricity price limits for heating.

Outside these selected periods, the thermostat maintains the normal temperature set by you.

Actual savings depend on electricity prices, the building, insulation, heating power and the selected temperature settings.

Also suitable for fixed-price electricity contracts

A spot-price electricity contract is not required to use Evesta C.

The thermostat also works as an advanced programmable WiFi thermostat with adaptive heating control. It learns how quickly the room heats up and can start heating early enough to reach the required temperature at the scheduled time.

Clear colour display and free mobile app

Evesta C has a backlit 1.8-inch colour display and three touch-sensitive control buttons. Basic settings can be adjusted directly on the thermostat.

The free Evesta mobile app provides access to:

Suitable for replacing an existing thermostat

Evesta C includes a 10 kΩ floor sensor but can also be used with many existing floor sensors. This can make it possible to replace an old thermostat without opening the floor or replacing the installed sensor cable.

• 100 kΩ.

The resistance and condition of the existing sensor should always be checked before installation.

Temperature control options

Evesta C can control heating using:

• the built-in room temperature sensor;
• the supplied floor temperature sensor;
• room temperature control with a floor temperature limit;
• adjustable power regulation.

For wooden floors, a floor sensor must be used and the maximum floor temperature should be limited according to the flooring manufacturer’s instructions. A maximum limit of 28 °C is commonly used for wooden floors.

The thermostat can also control compatible electric ceiling heating and cooling systems.
