WiFi Smart Plug 10A for Electricity Price Control – Powerant
Price includes 24% VAT · excl. VAT 20.00 €
If you are considering a smart plug or WiFi plug mainly to reduce electricity costs, a fixed weekly timer may not always provide the best result. The cheapest electricity periods change from one day to the next, so the most economical operating times may be different every day.
The Powerant 10A electricity price smart plug offers an alternative approach. Instead of following a conventional weekly programme, it controls the connected appliance according to changing Nord Pool electricity prices and the price rules selected by the user.
In the Powerant app, you can select how many of the cheapest periods the appliance should operate, set a maximum electricity price or combine both conditions. The plug retrieves updated electricity prices automatically and adjusts its operation accordingly.
The WiFi-enabled smart plug connects directly to a standard EU wall socket and is suitable for compatible resistive appliances with a rated current of up to 10 A. No separate smart-home hub or monthly subscription is required. (Google Play Store, Apple App Store)

An Electricity Price-Controlled Alternative to a Timer Plug
A conventional timer plug or programmable smart plug normally switches an appliance on and off at the same predefined times each week. This may be useful for regular daily routines, but it does not respond to changing electricity prices.
The Powerant 10A WiFi plug is designed for a different purpose. It automatically moves the operation of a connected appliance to more economical electricity price periods.
For example, a traditional timer may switch a water heater on every night from 01:00 to 05:00. However, the cheapest electricity periods are not always at night. The Powerant smart plug checks updated electricity prices and selects the operating periods according to the user’s price settings.
This makes it a suitable option for customers who are considering a WiFi smart plug primarily to:
reduce electricity costs;
avoid expensive electricity price periods;
operate appliances during the cheapest periods of the day;
respond automatically to changing Nord Pool prices;
avoid checking electricity prices manually every day.
The Powerant plug does not provide the conventional weekly programme found in many general-purpose timer plugs. Its main function is automatic control based on electricity prices.
How Does the Electricity Price Smart Plug Work?
The smart plug connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and retrieves updated electricity spot prices through the internet.
In the Powerant app, you can configure the plug to:
operate during a selected number of the cheapest periods;
switch on only when the electricity price is below a selected limit;
combine the cheapest-period selection with a maximum price;
distribute operating periods throughout the day;
use reverse operating logic when required;
include selected electricity distribution fees in the price calculation.
Once configured, the plug automatically controls the connected appliance according to the selected price rules. The user does not need to enter new operating times every day.
