HTS Global eHeat Gutter is a self-regulating heating cable designed to prevent ice formation on roofs, gutters, downpipes and drainage systems. Its UV-resistant and moisture-proof outer jacket makes it suitable for outdoor installations, including SBS bitumen roofs.
The cable provides 20 W/m at +10 °C on an insulated metal pipe and approximately 40 W/m at 0 °C in ice water. It operates at 230 V, has a maximum operating temperature of +65 °C when energised and withstands temperatures up to +85 °C when unpowered.
The cable can be cut to the required length on site. A suitable thermostat or automatic snow and ice controller should always be used to reduce energy consumption and prevent unnecessary heating.

eHeat Gutter heating cable is suitable for:

How the self-regulating cable works
The cable automatically adjusts its heat output according to the surrounding temperature. In snow, ice and cold water, it produces more heat. As the ice melts and the surface dries, the output decreases.
A self-regulating cable does not switch itself off completely. For economical operation, the heating system must be controlled by a suitable thermostat or an automatic roof and gutter controller. Heating is normally unnecessary when the outdoor temperature is safely above freezing.
Installation
The cable can be cut to the required length and divided between gutters, downpipes and roof valleys using suitable connection accessories. It must be secured with compatible roof and gutter clips or an appropriate weather-resistant adhesive.
The permitted maximum circuit length must not be exceeded. Circuit length depends on the circuit breaker rating and the lowest temperature at which the cable may be switched on.
Electrical connections must be made by a qualified person using compatible connection and end-termination kits. The cable must not be installed at temperatures below –30 °C or bent tighter than the specified minimum bending radius.
