This high-temperature drum heater is designed to heat substances stored in metal drums, maintain their temperature and reduce viscosity. The electric heating jacket helps prevent the contents from freezing or solidifying and makes viscous materials easier to pump, mix and remove from the drum.
The drum heater is suitable for heating water, oils, diesel fuel, resins, waxes, petroleum jelly, lubricants and other industrial liquids. Models are available for standard 25/30, 50/60, 105 and 200 litre metal drums.

The heating jacket is made from silicone-impregnated fabric and equipped with fibreglass insulation, Teflon-coated heating wire and a safety thermostat. The standard model has an IP40 protection rating. An IP54 version can be ordered for damp areas and locations where exposure to water splashes is possible.
Temperature control
The drum heater is available with a temperature controller adjustable from 0 to 200 °C. The controller setting determines the operating temperature of the heater, but the actual temperature of the drum contents depends on the substance, drum material, ambient temperature, heat loss and selected heater output.
According to the manufacturer’s demonstration test, heating 200 litres of water from +18 to approximately +88 °C takes about 24 hours with a 1200 W drum heater. The actual heating time may vary depending on the operating conditions.
