The base drum heater is designed to heat metal drums from below. The electric heating platform helps maintain the required temperature, reduce the viscosity of liquids and soften materials that thicken or solidify when cooled.
The heater is suitable for standard metal drums with a capacity of up to 200 litres. Its built-in thermostat allows the operating temperature of the heating platform to be adjusted between 0 and 120 °C.
The base drum heater can be used for water, oils, diesel fuel, resins, petroleum jelly, waxes, fats, greases, glues, adhesives and various other industrial materials. The selected temperature must always be suitable for the drum and the material being heated.

The drum is placed directly on the heating platform, allowing heat to transfer through its metal base. The heating surface has a diameter of 550 mm and is suitable for standard drums up to 200 litres.
Temperature control and use
The thermostat setting determines the operating temperature of the heating platform, not the exact temperature of the contents inside the drum.
The actual product temperature and heating time depend on:
- the type and quantity of material being heated;
- the initial temperature of the product;
- the ambient temperature;
- the construction of the drum;
- heat loss;
- the use of additional thermal insulation.
For effective heat transfer, the drum should be positioned centrally and stand securely on the heating platform.
When faster heating or improved temperature stability is required, the base drum heater can be used together with an electric drum heating jacket and an insulated cover. This combination reduces heat loss and improves the overall efficiency of the heating process.

Important: this base drum heater is intended for metal drums only. It is not suitable for plastic drums and is not ATEX-certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The thermostat setting must not exceed the maximum permitted temperature of the drum or the material being heated.
