Secure the heating cable to the pipe with aluminium tape applied continuously along the full length of the cable. On plastic pipes, also apply aluminium tape underneath the cable along its full length to improve heat transfer from the cable to the pipe.
Apply the tape to a clean, dry pipe surface. Insulate the pipe after securing the heating cable.
