Automatic heating and cooling control

The upper PV display shows the current temperature measured by the external probe. The lower SV display shows the selected target temperature.

When the measured temperature falls below the selected value, the thermostat activates the heating output. When the temperature rises above the selected value, it can activate the cooling output. The heating and cooling differentials can be configured separately.

Both a heating device and a cooling device can be connected at the same time. The thermostat automatically activates the appropriate output according to the measured temperature and the selected settings.

For refrigeration equipment, an adjustable compressor delay helps prevent frequent restarts and protects the connected cooling device.

Remote control with the INKBIRD app

The Inkbird ITC-308-WIFI connects to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. The INKBIRD app allows you to:

• monitor the measured and selected temperatures;
• change the target temperature remotely;
• configure separate heating and cooling differentials;
• set high- and low-temperature alarms;
• receive a warning if the temperature probe fails;
• monitor and control the thermostat from a smartphone.

The thermostat can also be configured directly using the buttons on the device and continues to regulate the temperature without a WiFi connection.

Important safety information

The thermostat body and output sockets are intended for use in dry indoor locations only. The IP20 enclosure is not water-resistant. When measuring liquid temperature, only a suitable waterproof temperature probe may come into contact with the liquid.

The combined load of the heating and cooling outputs must not exceed 10 A or 2200 W. Do not connect the thermostat to an extension lead, power strip or another portable multi-socket outlet.
